A good stick for the price June 11, 2010 Robynn C. Wilhelmi (NC) These sticks are great for 3-5 year olds. Just the right height. Durability is an issue, but I've made them last by taping the handle and blade, just like my regular hockey stick. Really all depends on how hard they are whacking them or if they are just puck handling. Overall, I think they are great for the price.
Sticks are shorter than I thought February 14, 2010 A. Sheehan (Cary, NC USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered this for my 8 year old son, but the sticks were too short for him. It'd be nice for a 5 year old, though.
Good while it lasts February 6, 2010 K. Hand (Acampo, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wish there were more information about the product. I was thankful that it had the length of the sticks listed but wished I had known it is the same plastic that you get from the sticks at Target. For kids that just want to play every now and then, this is a great set. For boys like mine that like to play every night, expect to buy a new set of these every 2-3 months as they are just not durable. However, finding play sticks at this length that aren't "professional" quality is very hard to do so in that respect, they are a good buy.
CHEAP!!! January 27, 2010 Jeff W. Hatley (New Jersey) I bought these hockey sticks for my 7 and 5 year old boys. There is a yellow plastic wrap on these sticks that started to come off almost immediately. The stick is barely long enough for my 5 year old, who is only 42 inches tall. My 7 year old likes to play while wearing roller blades which is practically impossible with the length of these sticks.
They also do not wear well. My kids started to use them the day after Christmas and by January 10 the blades were down to about a half inch in width.
These sticks may be okay for children between the ages of 2 and 4, but you'd be better off buying a mylec stick at your local store for $10 and cutting it down. My kids both have cut down Mylecs now and they are MUCH better.
Not for anyone over 8 yrs old December 14, 2009 Quality Shopper (California) I am from Canada, and do know alot about hockey....and these are a very cheap interpretation of hockey sticks, not to mention too small for anyone over 8.
You would be better off using an used real hockey stick if you want the real feel of shooting a ball or puck around.
And you would spend the same amount of money on a lower end real hockey stick as well.
